Family Ministries

Philosophy of Family

We believe that all individuals are important in the ministry of God's church whether in youth or age, single or married, rich or poor, men or women. We have many ministries intent upon glorifying God by helping eveyrone grow in grace and to do the work of the ministry.

Men

Believing that men are to lead the church and their families. We have regular fellowships and Bible studies for men. The first Thursday of each month at 7:00 pm, a Bible study for men is conducted at the church. This is a relaxed time where men can encourage one another; discuss Scripture, needs, or struggles; and provide accountability for one another. Currently we are using the book The Disciplines of a Godly Man by R. Kent Hughes as a guide in this time. We also have activities for men and boys to strengthen the bond of brotherhood among the assembly of saints.

Women

Women have a monthly fellowship time every third Thursday at 7:00 pm. They gather to encourage each other, challenge each other and study the Bible. They are currently using the book The Disciplines of a Godly Woman by Barbara Hughes as a guide.

Women also get together with each other for activites from time to time and retreats. Another ministry of the church is "Mommy Free Time." This ministry is led by some of the single women of the church who desire to give mothers or parents an opportunity to go on dates or activities while providing an organized day care for children including story time, crafts and activities. This ministry is offered every other Tuesday from 10:00 am -2:00 pm. See our calendar for the next available date.

Senior

Our senior saints gather every few weeks for a luncheon to encourage one another and to pray for various needs within the church. These godly men and women are the backbone of the church through their prayer ministry. Check out our calendar for more information.

Children

We minister to families with age-graded instruction on Sundays during Sunday School, morning worship and Sunday evening services ("Grace Builders"). We also operate a nursury during all worship services that is fully staffed with qualified, screened workers. Visit our Bible Classes page to learn more. During the summer we have Bible camps and Bible clubs for children as well.

Youth

Teens are taught doctrine and theology in an understandble way. They participate in ministry opportunities and fun activities to encourage growth and godliness. Every Sunday night we have "Grace Alive" which is an exciting time of instruction and fellowship for teens.

Christian School

Grace Baptist School has had to close its doors at this time due to inability to sustain the ministry. We still operate a Home School Co-op and plan to offer Bible training for public school students interested in "release time."
